Gandhi Engineering College(GEC) is situated in the City of Temples, Bhubaneswar. Established in the year 2006, with the approval of AICTE and affiliation from BPUT, the college is committed to impart quality technical education. It has a mission to expand human knowledge and benefit the society through research integrated with education. It strives to investigate most challenging, fundamental problems in technology and science in a singularly collegial, inter disciplinary atmosphere, while educating students to become creatively contributing members of the society.

Global forces are altering the educational landscape as India faces a serious skills shortage in the technology industry. Through the IBM Academic Initiative, IBM in association with GEC trains students on IBM tools and other skills they will need to compete in the ever changing technology workplace.
GEC has always tried to provide the students with the best of technologies. Software giant IBM has chosen the institute to be their Centre of Excellence.
There is a dedicated IBM lab on-campus where students and faculty are trained on latest technologies based on industry-demands of IBM. These trainings are conducted by experts who are provided by IBM itself. Students and Faculty members are then exposed to certification exams for the technologies they are trained in. We are proud to share that more than 300 GECians with IBM.
